Analytica Journal commits to the internationally accepted principles of publication ethics expressed in the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), The European Association of Science Editors (EASE), Association of Science Editors and Publishers (ASEP). International ethical standards are meant to address troubling questions and cases in editorial process. Compliance with ethical guidelines simplifies communication between authors, reviewers and Editorial Board members, ensures the rights of all parties and improves the quality of scientific research.

 

The Editorial Board’s Policy on Readers

  • • The Editorial Board strives to constantly improve the Journal.
  • • The Editorial Board has processes in place to assure the quality of the material it publishes.
  • • The Editorial Board maintains the integrity of the academic record.
  • • The Editorial Board ensures that all published research articles have been reviewed by suitably qualified reviewers.
  • • The Journal publishes only original research articles.
  • • All articles published in the Journal are open access.

 

Responsibilities of Authors

  • • Submitted materials should not be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • • Redundant publications are possible in exceptional circumstances only (e.g., publication in a different language) and only with appropriate permission from copyright holders.
  • • Authors are required to undergo a peer-review processes.
  • • Authors take full responsibility for evaluations, views and attitudes presented in publications. The chief editor, Editorial Board and Advisory Board members are not responsible for authors’ views and evaluations and reserve the right to either follow or not to follow them.
  • • Authors should ensure that the presented results are entirely original. Wordings taken directly from publications by other researchers should appear in quotation marks with appropriate citations and acknowledgements. Any form of plagiarism, including citations without appropriate acknowledgements or breach of copyright, is unacceptable.
  • • All individuals who made a substantial contribution to the work should be included in the author list. Individuals who made no contribution to the work should not be listed.
  • • Authors should alert The Editorial Board promptly if they discover errors or inaccuracies in any submitted, accepted or published work.
  • • The Editorial Board may reject a paper for publication without peer review when it does not conform to the Guide for Authors or when it is irrelevant to the remit of the Journal. Authors are encouraged to follow the submission guidelines.
  • • Authors should respond appropriately to reviewers’ comments. If manuscript is accepted for publication with corrections, authors are required to submit revised manuscript and their response to reviewers’ comments in a separate file.

 

Peer Review Policy and Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • • All submitted manuscripts of research articles are peer-reviewed before publication.
  • • All manuscripts of research articles are reviewed by two peer reviewers. Both Editorial Board members and independent experts can be invited to review.
  • • To minimize any potential bias towards the authors, all submitted materials go through double anonymized peer review: authors' names and affiliations are concealed from reviewers as well as reviewers’ names and affiliations are concealed from authors.
  • • Reviewed manuscripts of research articles should be anonymized. Any references to work the authors have previously published should be removed (or formulated in the third person).
  • • Reviewers and editors are required not to disclose submitted materials to third parties.
  • • Reviewers are responsible for plagiarism detection.
  • • The Editorial Board is committed to notify the authors of the results of the peer-review process in 10 weeks after the manuscript submission. If due to special circumstance, the review process takes more time, authors will be informed by email.
  • • The Editorial Board will communicate decisions to the authors regarding the following:
    • — accepted in present form: the manuscript is accepted without any revisions;
    • — accepted after revision: the acceptance of the manuscript would depend on the revisions.
    • — rejected: the manuscript will not be published in the Journal.
  • • The Editorial Board requires reviewers to treat the manuscripts in confidence.
  • • The Editorial Board encourages reviewers to comment on the originality of submissions and to be alert to redundant publication.
  • • Reviewers are required to be objective and reasonable in their assessments of research results.
  • • Reviewers should not use unpublished information obtained during the peer-review process for their own advantage.
  • • Scientific translations and commentaries are published only with appropriate permission from copyright holders. Authors obtain permission for use of copyrighted material from copyright holders. The Editorial Board reviews and edits translations. Scientific translations are published only after editing, review and revision.
  • • Results of translation editing are agreed with authors if they imply major conceptual and stylistic changes. In case of minor corrections, the Editorial Board may publish the translation without prior approval from authors.

 

Responsibilities of the Editorial Board

  • • The Editorial Board ensures that appropriate reviewers are selected for submissions, i.e. individuals who are able to judge the work and are free from disqualifying competing interests.
  • • The Editorial Board ensures that all materials submitted by Editorial Board members or Advisory Board members are also peer reviewed.
  • • The Editorial Board employs double-anonymized peer review model and ensures objectivity of the review process.
  • • The Editorial Board publishes guidance to authors on everything that is expected of them. This guidance is regularly updated and refers or links to international standards for authors.
  • • The Editorial Board announces submissions deadlines on the Journal website.
  • • The Editorial Board’s decisions to accept or reject a paper should be based only on the paper’s importance, originality, and clarity, and the study’s relevance to the remit of the Journal.
  • • The Editorial Board should not reverse decisions to accept submissions unless serious problems are identified with the submission.
  • • The Editorial Board only publishes original research articles that has not been published elsewhere, neither entirely nor partially, and has not been submitted to other Journals.
  • • Submitted book reviews are considered at the Editorial Board meeting and are not peer-reviewed. A book sent to the Editorial Board will not be automatically reviewed.

 

General Ethical Principles of the Editorial Board

  • • The Editorial Board is always willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when needed.
  • • The Editorial Board is committed to respond to all complaints about submitted manuscripts or published materials and, in case of conflict situation, to make best efforts to restore rights that have been infringed.
  • • All authors are equal in their rights and responsibilities. The Editorial Board ensures that editorial decisions are not affected by authors’ affiliation with any social group.
  • • The Editorial Board maintains the integrity of the academic record.
  • • The Editorial Board is required not to use unpublished (or rejected) materials for their own advantage or disclose them to third parties.
  • • Reviewed manuscripts are treated as confidential documents.
  • • Special issues of the Journal may have different structure (e.g. number of sections may be reduced. The Editorial Board may invite guest editors to prepare special issues.
  • • The Journal does not charge article submission, processing or publication fees from the authors.
  • • Royalties are not paid to authors for published articles and other materials.
  • • The Editorial Board requires authors and reviewers to declare all potential competing interests before the peer-review process. In cases of failure to disclose a potential competing interest and (or) unreliable data, submitted manuscript may be rejected for publication. The Editorial Board ensures that there are no competing interests likely to influence review process. In case of competing interest, The Editorial Board is required to make best efforts to resolve it.

Copyright Policy of Analytica Journal is developed on the base of Article 1286.1 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. Analytica Journal publishes materials under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license. This license gives the right to read, copy, transform and redistribute the material in any medium or format as long as you give appropriate credit to the author. If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original. The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms.

 

Open Access Policy

Analytica is an open access journal. The Journal provides immediate open access to all published materials on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Any Internet user has free and unrestricted access to the full texts of the articles published in the Journal; all published articles are freely available without subscription or price barriers. Articles published in the Journal are freely available online immediately upon publication.

Our open access policy has been developed in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI): all materials published in the Journal are freely available on the public internet, which permits any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles published in the Journal, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from having access to the Internet itself.

 

Privacy Statement

Personal information provided by authors for publishing is available only to the Editorial Board. Personal information is published for authors’ benefit in order to provide accurate and complete indexing by citation databases and further communication with the members of scientific community. Personal information provided by authors will only be used for communication with authors at different stages of article processing. The Editorial Board is required not to disclose personal information to third parties.
