What Propositions Are?

Abstract

The paper is a continuation of the discussion about how we should translate the term "proposition" into Russian. It proposes a well-grounded analysis of Frege's semantic theory and compares it with Russell's conceptions. It is supposed that such a comparison may shed light on the mentioned discussion. Besides, to clarify the concept of proposition the author places high emphasis on the "propositions' problems" which embraces questions that arise whilst discussing this concept.
