The journal was founded in 2006 by Dmitry Ankin, Lev Lamberov, and Maxim Lebedev. It was initially published annually and was focused primarily on analytic philosophy research articles. The first issue was published in 2007. Unfortunately, the journal was not published from 2012 to 2021 for a variety of reasons. It was revived in 2021 and is now published at least biannually.

The journal’s scope encompasses all areas of analytic philosophy broadly understood, including its history. We take analytic philosophy to be a philosophical tradition "consistently eliminating metaphors and arbitrary analogies from argumentation" (Maxim Lebedev). Thus, the content of submitted manuscripts must fall within the scope of the journal, i.e., analytic philosophy. Any manuscript written on topics outside of the scope of the journal will not be accepted for consideration.

The journal’s goal is to provide a platform for Russian and English-speaking scholars to publish their research within the framework of analytic philosophy.

The journal’s goal requires:

— critically assessing and selecting submitted manuscripts to be published;

— publishing original research papers as well as translations, reviews, critical notices, articles in the history of philosophy within the tradition of analytic philosophy;

— publishing special issues on topics related to analytic philosophy;

— developing contacts with Russian and international scholars working within analytic philosophy as well as with Russian and international philosophy journals, academic publishers, and databases;

standing ready to cooperate with scholars of other philosophical traditions as well as with researchers from other sciences.

Publishing with Analytica is completely free. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject submitted manuscripts that have no central relevance to analytic philosophy and/or are not considered acceptable for publication after double-blind peer review.
